FastenMaster ZipClip is a high-strength hidden fastening clip engineered for fast, precise installation on grooved composite and PVC decking. Rather than aligning clips one at a time as boards go down, ZipClips slide into position after the full board layout is set — letting installers handle spacing first and fastening second. As each fastener drives into the joist, the integrated clip rotates 90 degrees into the board's groove, locking it in place with consistent, uniform spacing across the whole deck for a clean, professional finish with no visible fasteners.
The clip design is versatile enough to work across multiple substructure conditions — including flat blocking, double joists, and hard-to-reach areas — eliminating the need to stock different clip types for different framing situations. Clips back out smoothly when a board needs repositioning or replacing, without damaging the decking surface. ZipClip is compatible with a wide range of leading grooved decking brands, including Trex, Deckorators, and Fiberon. Available in 100, 300, and 500 square foot coverage packs, each including the corresponding clip count, screws, and T15 Torx driver bit(s) needed for a complete install.
