Tru-Scapes Transformers convert standard 120V household current to safe 12V AC output, powering deck and landscape lighting fixtures across a wired circuit. Designed for use on 120V circuits only, they should be plugged into a GFCI-protected outdoor receptacle and are not rated for use with submersible fixtures.
Two capacities cover different project sizes: the 100W Economy Transformer (TS-TBPT-100) delivers a single-tap 12V output with a 6' plug-in cord, housed in heavy-duty plastic construction rated for outdoor weather, and includes an integrated timer and photocell for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation. The 300W Stainless Steel Transformer (TS-TSSP-300) steps up to 2 common taps with individual circuit breakers and 3 voltage taps for larger, multi-zone lighting layouts, housed in a heavy-duty 304 stainless steel enclosure; a photocell can be connected separately but is not included. As a general sizing rule, keep total connected fixture load under 70% of the transformer's rated capacity — for example, a 200-watt fixture load calls for a 300W transformer. Compatible with Tru-Scapes 16/2 and 12/2 low-voltage wire and lighting fixtures (sold separately).
