Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fasteners secure grooved-edge deck boards to joists with no visible screw heads on the walking surface, creating a clean, professional deck finish with consistent spacing and improved airflow and drainage underneath the boards. Unlike traditional stainless-steel fasteners that require reaching underneath the deck, these clips install entirely from above the framework, speeding up installation and eliminating the awkward under-deck work older fastening systems required.
Each glass-filled nylon clip comes with a preset stainless steel screw for a fast, secure connection, and Trex reports these clips are 40% stronger than traditional stainless-steel fasteners. The system self-spaces every board at a consistent 1/4" gap automatically as it's installed, and it's compatible with all Trex grooved decking collections. A star-head driver bit ships with every pack. Note: not compatible with the Tiger Claw pneumatic gun. Available in 90-count boxes (covering approximately 50 sq ft) and 900-count buckets (covering approximately 500 sq ft); a version compatible with steel-framed substructures — the Trex Hideaway Steel Framing Hidden Fastener Clips — is also available separately.
