The TimberTech LED Riser Light brings gentle, functional illumination to deck stairs, helping guests navigate steps safely after dark without harsh or overpowering light. Recessed into the stair riser, the fixture casts a soft, warm 2700K glow across the tread below, meeting the intent of 2012 IRC R303.7 code requirements for stairway illumination while adding a refined, finished look to the staircase.
Made from powder-coated aluminum, the fixture features a modern design with a contrasting recessed area and a redesigned back box for easier installation than earlier generations. It runs on low-voltage 12V AC wiring, drawing minimal power while staying cool to the touch, and comes with a 6' lead wire that can be trimmed to reach the transformer — several riser lights can run off a single transformer using standard daisy-chain wiring. The fixture is designed to coordinate visually with TimberTech's other lighting lines, including post cap lights, under-rail lights, and accent lights, for a cohesive lighting plan across the whole deck. Available in Matte Black, Matte Espresso, and Matte White. Note: riser board is sold separately; a TimberTech or AZEK low-voltage 12V power unit is required and sold separately.
