TimberTech Composite Post Sleeves fit over a standard 4x4 wood post, instantly upgrading a rail post's appearance while shielding the structural wood underneath from weather exposure. Part of the Classic Composite Series, this 5.5" x 5.5" size is compatible with TimberTech's full range of Classic railing options, including Premier Rail, Radiance Rail, Trademark Rail, and Drink Rail, and works with either a 4x4 wood post or a Secure Mount Post Kit.
Unlike a wood post, the composite sleeve never requires sanding, staining, or painting, and it won't rot, peel, or blister over the life of the railing system — a straightforward, low-maintenance upgrade whether the project is new construction or a renovation. Hidden fastening keeps the installation clean with no visible screws on the finished post. Available in 39", 54", and 144" lengths (12' lengths require freight shipping) and in Matte White, Matte Black, and Matte Espresso to match the rest of your railing system. Pair with the matching 5.5" post cap and post skirt for a complete post assembly. Backed by a 25-year limited warranty and covered under TimberTech's ESR-1481 and CCRR-0165 code reports.
