Tiger Claw Pneumatic Screws are "Scrails" — a hybrid fastener that combines the driving speed of a pneumatic nail with the pull-out holding power of a threaded screw — engineered specifically for use with the FastenMaster Tiger Claw Pneumatic Installation Tool. The 33-degree collated strips load directly into the gun and fire through Tiger Claw hidden fastening clips (such as TC-G) into the joist, fastening the deck board in a single pull of the trigger without the need to position and drive each fastener by hand.
Despite being pneumatically driven like a nail, the fastener retains a threaded screw body and can be backed out with a standard #1 or #2 Phillips driver bit if a board ever needs to be removed or replaced — a meaningful advantage over smooth-shank pneumatic nails, which don't offer the same removability. Each box contains 930 fasteners, enough for approximately 500 square feet of decking, and is approved for use in ACQ and other chemically treated lumber. Compatible with Tiger Claw TC-G, TimberTech CONCEALoc, Trex HideAway, Guardian Ghost Grip, Fasco InvisDeck, and most other grooved-decking hidden fastener clips designed for pneumatic tool installation. Available in black oxide-coated carbon steel for standard applications, or 304/305 stainless steel for coastal and saltwater environments. Sold for use with the Tiger Claw Pneumatic Installation Tool (sold separately).
