The Simpson Strong-Drive SD Connector Screw #10 is a structural-connector screw engineered as a nail replacement in Simpson Strong-Tie connectors, and it's the only screw tested and approved for that application. Its single-fastener load capacity exceeds that of a 16d common nail, and the shank is specifically designed to match the fastener holes in Simpson connectors for a precise fit. A 1/4" hex head with an integrated washer reduces cam-out and is stamped with the Simpson logo and fastener size for easy identification after installation. The mechanically galvanized Class 55 coating meets IRC requirements for use in preservative-treated and fire-retardant-treated wood, and a hex driver bit is included. Available in multiple lengths and pack sizes.
