Each bit uses Starborn's Powerbolic fluting, engineered to cut through decking more than twice as fast as standard wood drill bits, and holds up well even on dense hardwoods.
The bit's pre-set countersink is matched precisely to Starborn's Headcote and Deckfast stainless steel screws, so the drilled hole and countersink fit the fastener exactly for a clean, flush, professional finish. Stainless steel construction resists wear and corrosion over repeated use. Because Smart-Bit replacement bits are sized to a specific screw number, confirm your Smart-Bit Tool and screws are #7 before ordering — using the wrong size bit will produce a mismatched countersink.
