The Starborn Pro Plug System for Fiberon Concordia Decking provides a secure, top-down fastening method that hides every screw beneath a color-matched plug cut from actual Concordia board material. Once installed, the plug blends seamlessly into the surface for a clean, professional deck with no visible hardware, across the Astir, Horizon, and Symmetry collections.
Pre-drilling a 3/16" pilot hole through the decking material is recommended before screw and plug installation. The system's PVC/Composite Tool (sold separately) then drives the screw to the correct depth with its Auto-Stop feature, preventing the screw recess from stripping, while a free-spinning stop collar protects the board surface from marring. A Type 17 auger tip on the screw allows for faster, easier insertion and helps prevent splitting. Screws feature a star drive with an extra-deep recess to reduce cam-out, and are available in epoxy-coated carbon steel or stainless steel (grade 305 or marine-grade 316), giving builders flexibility for different corrosion environments. Available in kits containing 100, 350, or 1,050 pieces (screws and plugs), with the tool included or sold separately depending on kit size, or as plugs-only packs for those supplying their own screws.
