The Simpson Strong-Tie Sage-T Middle-T Connector extends the Sage System to mid-run post connections, joining three beams to a single post at consistent 90-degree angles — the piece needed wherever a pergola or shade structure runs beyond a single bay, such as double-wide layouts where a post sits between two beam spans rather than at a corner. Its four-way angle geometry keeps every connection straight and aligned at these mid-section points, matching the look and structural approach of the Sage corner connectors used at the ends of a run.
Like the rest of the Sage System, it's built from 12-gauge ZMAX galvanized steel with a black powder-coat finish for corrosion resistance and a clean, modern appearance that holds up outdoors. The open-top design simplifies installation, allowing either top-down or ground-up assembly, and accommodates minor variances in lumber dimensions. Each kit includes the connector, 45 color-matched SD10112DBB Outdoor Accents connector screws, and (depending on size) a hex driver bit — everything needed for a code-listed, properly rated connection without pre-drilling. Available for nominal 4x4 (SAGE-T44) and 6x6 (SAGE-T66) posts, compatible with S4S or rough-sawn lumber. As with all Sage connectors, using the correct fasteners in the specified positions is required to achieve published load values.
