The Simpson Strong-Tie Sage C Corner Connector is a three-way, 90-degree connector that joins two beams to a post for a strong, consistent corner on pergolas, gazebos, patio covers, and similar outdoor structures. Part of the Outdoor Accents Sage System, it's designed for homeowners and DIYers building decorative wood structures without sacrificing structural performance — the connection delivers real load-bearing strength while presenting a clean, finished look at every corner.
Made from 12-gauge ZMAX galvanized steel with a black powder-coat finish, the connector resists corrosion and weathering for long-term outdoor durability, and a built-in standoff helps prevent post-end wood rot caused by moisture. An open-top design simplifies installation and accommodates natural variances in lumber dimensions, while convenient stop tabs give each post a defined end point so beams seat consistently without hitting the post face. Installation requires no pre-drilling — every connector ships with the correct color-matched Outdoor Accents connector screws (SD10112DBB), and using the specified fastener count and placement is necessary to achieve the connector's published load values. Available for 4x4 and 6x6 nominal lumber, sold in packs of 2. The modular Sage System design coordinates with additional Outdoor Accents hardware and accessories, including shade cloths or added rafters, for a cohesive finished look.
