Fiberon Wildwood Composite Cladding delivers the visual warmth of natural wood siding without the ongoing maintenance, using an open-joint profile with a concealed face fastener for a clean, seamless exterior. Made from 94% pre- and post-consumer recycled wood fiber and plastic content — including up to 2,000 recycled plastic bags per board — Wildwood combines sustainability with a durable composite core that resists rotting, cracking, insect damage, and decay far better than solid wood cladding, and cuts and installs similarly to real wood.
Wildwood's exclusive PermaTech cap layer protects against fading and staining, and functions as an effective rainscreen: it deflects precipitation away from the wall assembly, drains what does penetrate, and resists the freeze-thaw damage and staining that affects traditional wood cladding. It meets ASTM E84 Class B fire rating and NFPA 268 radiant heat standards, is approved for use in High Velocity Hurricane Zones, and never needs sanding, staining, or painting — a meaningful advantage for hard-to-reach installations. Wildwood is written into Fiberon's commercial rainscreen specification (CSI Section 07 42 43) for rear-ventilated facade systems on Type II and Type IV buildings, and has been specified as the exterior cladding material on commercial quick-service projects — including a 2025 Panda Express location in Waukee, Iowa, where it's called out in the Bamboo colorway on the project's architectural exterior finish schedule. Available in two nature-inspired color collections, Sahara and Eden, each with realistic wood-grain embossing. Suitable for horizontal, vertical, or diagonal (up to 45°) installation, in three profile sizes: 1x6 (.75" x 6", available in 12', 16', and 20' lengths), 1x8 (.75" x 7.25", 12'), and 1x12 (.75" x 11.25", 12'). Made in the USA and backed by a 50-year warranty covering performance, stain, and fade.
