The Starborn Deckfast Pro Plug Fascia Tool Set contains both tools needed to install the Pro Plug System for Fascia, Starborn's hidden-fastener method for composite and PVC fascia boards. Because fascia boards expand and contract more than deck surfaces, this system requires two dedicated steps: the Fascia Plug Tool pre-drills an intentionally oversized hole so the fascia board hangs from the screw and can move freely without stressing the fastener, while also creating a countersink sized precisely to the fascia plug. The PVC/Composite Tool then drives the fascia screw to the correct depth using a Fascia-specific driver bit.
Both tools include a free-spinning stop collar to protect the fascia surface from marring during use, and the PVC/Composite Tool's No Cam-Out Auto-Stop mechanism disengages once target depth is reached, preventing the screw recess from stripping. The set is designed for fascia boards from 1/2" to 3/4" thick and works with all Starborn Deckfast Fascia Pro Plugs (sold separately) to complete a fully concealed, screw-free finish. Pre-drilling is required at 40°F or below, though Starborn recommends it in all conditions. Use with a standard drill on high speed — not with an impact driver.
