Product Description

+

CAMO Structural Multipurpose Hex Head Screws replace traditional 1/2" lag screws and through-bolts on deck blocking, posts, beams, railings, and general construction projects, both interior and exterior. A sharp point starts fast with no pre-drilling required, and slashes near the tip help reduce splitting as the screw drives through wood connections.

The hex head design locks into a hex driver rather than requiring a star or Phillips bit, letting installers drive the screw without holding onto it separately — a practical advantage when working overhead or in tight framing spaces. This hex drive also reduces cam-out for smoother, more reliable driving. Two versions are available: a black 5/16" shank screw with a 7/16" hex head and 0.575" washer, and a tan 1/4" shank screw with a 3/8" hex head and 1/2" washer. Both are coated with CAMO's proprietary PROTECH Ultra 4 four-layer coating system for superior corrosion resistance, with a hot-dip galvanized option also available; all sizes are third-party tested and certified IRC/IBC code-compliant, including Florida approval (FL 41741). Length options range from 1-1/2" up to 10" depending on shank size. Sold in 10, 50, 250, and 500-count packs, with a compatible hex bit included in every pack.
