The Starborn Deckfast Pro Plug Tool is the core driving tool for Starborn's Pro Plug System, a hidden-fastener method that face-fastens PVC and composite decking, trim, and cladding, then conceals the screw beneath a precision-cut plug made from the actual board material. This patented tool drives the screw and counter-sinks it to the correct depth in a single step, so the plug sits flush every time without a separate countersinking pass.
An Auto-Stop clutch mechanism inside the tool disengages the driver bit once the target depth is reached, preventing the screw recess from stripping — a common failure point with standard drivers on plug-fastening systems. A free-spinning stop collar, fitted with a rubber O-ring, rides against the board surface without marring or scuffing it during the drive. The tool ships with both DECK and TRIM driver bits, each optimized for its specific application, so one tool covers deck boards, PVC trim, and cladding across all major decking and trim brands compatible with the Pro Plug System. Use with a standard drill — impact drivers may not set screws to the correct depth. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
